Home Business Costs

Home business costs are at the forefront of most people's minds when they are deciding which home business to start. The figures below will buy or allow you to start a decent home business that has the INHERENT capability of turning a profit.

However as always it is critical to select the one which a) you can afford comfortably and b) the one that is most suited to you and particularly to your temperament.

Hugely talented individuals or those with exceptional contacts may be able to start with zero costs. Most people will benefit from a small investment for a good resource.

Realistic Budgets:

Internet Marketing - A minimum of £150 ($300)

Property - £150 ($300) for lead-generation - £1,500 for land development (UK only).

Financial Trading - A minimum of £6,500 ($13,000)

Others - Dependant on which business category, the individual budgets are mentioned in each section. Note that the majority of these are not recommended.

FREE Home Business?

Any business that says it is free is merely using a marketing ploy to start a prospective entrepreneur into the marketing funnel:
Free - low cost eBook - must-have software - course - seminar etc.

Although it is sensible to be wary of spending any money on a home business, good tools or services have the potential to be cost-effective as well as giving a structure, strategy, or tactic for people to follow.

Dead Money

A safe policy is to make sure any home business costs incurred only use money that you will not miss. Thus if you sell or save to 'create' the initial capital and if the worst happens, at least it will not be so financially painful.

Home business costs will be a pivotal issue for many people. However this section contains other not-so-obvious information which should be vectored into any decisions.
